Like the series 4 recliner, it is equipped with the push back feature that allows patients to easily operate the backrest using their bodyweight. The footrest extends with the push of a button, just as it does on the Series 3 model.  These chairs are designed for general hospital and clinic settings and are not specifically designed for behavioral health applications. Their mechanisms are not fully enclosed and they include potential ligature points.
